Water Pollution paragraph
Water pollution is the contamination (5) of water. No living being can pass a moment without water. Hence water is an essential element of nature. But like diarrhoea, cholera, jaundice, etc. It can be polluted in many ways. Man pollutes water by throwing waste materials into it. Using chemical fertilizers and insecticides (D) farmers pollute water. Rain and floods wash away these chemical fertilizers and insecticides to rivers, canals and ponds and thus water is polluted. Poisonous (3) chemicals are used in mills and factories. Throwing their waste products into rivers and canals, they pollute water. Steamers, boats and launches throw oil, food and human waste into the water of rivers and canals. and thus make the water polluted. Because of this pollution, fish cannot survive. People also become ill by drinking and bathing in the polluted water. By checking the dumping of factory waste, water pollution can be minimized. We can also purify it by boiling or using purification (f) tablets. So. to keep good health, we must try to prevent water pollution.

পানি দূষণ হল পানির দূষণ (5)। কোনো জীবই পানি ছাড়া এক মুহূর্তও পার করতে পারে না। তাই জল প্রকৃতির একটি অপরিহার্য উপাদান। কিন্তু ডায়রিয়া, কলেরা, জন্ডিস ইত্যাদির মতো এটি নানাভাবে দূষিত হতে পারে। মানুষ বর্জ্য পদার্থ নিক্ষেপ করে পানিকে দূষিত করে। রাসায়নিক সার ও কীটনাশক ব্যবহার করে (D) কৃষকরা পানি দূষিত করে। বৃষ্টি ও বন্যা এসব রাসায়নিক সার ও কীটনাশক নদী, খাল-বিল ও পুকুরে ধুয়ে দেয় এবং এভাবে পানি দূষিত হয়। কল-কারখানায় বিষাক্ত (3) রাসায়নিক ব্যবহার করা হয়। নদী ও খালে তাদের বর্জ্য ফেলে পানি দূষিত করে। স্টিমার, নৌকা ও লঞ্চ তেল, খাদ্য ও মানুষের বর্জ্য নদী ও খালের পানিতে ফেলে। এবং এইভাবে জল দূষিত করা. এই দূষণের কারণে মাছ বাঁচতে পারে না। দূষিত পানিতে পান ও গোসল করেও মানুষ অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ছে। কারখানার বর্জ্য ডাম্পিং পরীক্ষা করে পানি দূষণ কমানো যায়। আমরা এটিকে ফুটিয়ে বা বিশুদ্ধকরণ (f) ট্যাবলেট ব্যবহার করেও বিশুদ্ধ করতে পারি। তাই। সুস্বাস্থ্য বজায় রাখতে আমাদের অবশ্যই পানি দূষণ রোধ করার চেষ্টা করতে হবে।
