One is Ekushey Boi Mela is held in the premises of Bangla Academy and the other is Dhaka Boi Mela. Other fairs are managed to celebrate special days in many towns and even in rural areas. A book fair is specially organised to arouse the interest of the people from all walks of life on books. Although book fairs in our country are of recent origin, they are gradually gaining popularities. I often go to a book fairs if is decorated with various types of colourful lightings in many stalls. Books of various types are sold in a book fair. Among them novels, critique, story and poems books are mentionable. Besides books, articles like cassettes, view cards, calendars, and posters are sold in a book fair. I am very fond of books. So, whenever, I get a chance to visit a book fair, I do not hesitate to take it. The importance of arranging book fairs can not be denied in the true sense of term.
