The national flag represents the independence of a country. Ours is an independent country. Hence we have a national flag. It symbolizes our independence. The cloth of a national flag is made of cotton, silk or linen. Our flag is rectangular in shape. The ratio of its length and breadth is 10: 6. The background of our flag is green which symbolizes our life and energy. In the middle point of the flag there is a blood-red circle representing our hard struggle and blood-shed. A national flag is a sacred asset for a free nation. It is the symbol of a free nation. Bangladesh is a free country. Every free nation has a national flag. We have also a national flag of our own. Our flag is rectangular in size. The proportion of the size of the flag is 10 : 6. The flag is green in color with a red circle of the middle of it. The red circle of the flag symbolizes the sacred blood of the heroic sons of the land. The green of the flag symbolizes the green trees, the green crops and the green fields. It reminds us the supreme sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Our national flag inspires us to protest against any injustice and to face any challenges boldly.
